Champion® Unveils Industry Exclusive Direct Vent Hooded Door Machine

As part of its Genesis Line of Direct Vent or Heat Recovery Hooded Door Machines

CHICAGO, IL (JULY 2011) - Champion® Industries, manufacturer of a full line of premier commercial ware washing systems for over 100 years, introduces its industry exclusive Direct Vent Hood Door Machine, as part of the new Genesis Line of hooded door machines. The new line reduces cost, improves appearance, and increases performance. NSF testing and certification for this machine lists final water consumption as .83 gallons per rack with a cycle time of 60 seconds (53 racks per hour). This unit was also designed to meet ENERGY STAR product requirements.

This unit is the first of its kind with a direct-vented offering that combines the versatility and simple install of Champion's highly regarded Versa Clean system, with the features of a hood type machine. Connecting directly to the ventilation system, this direct vent door machine removes heat and water vapor from the machine at the end of the cycle. The unit automatically controls the exhaust rate and can use and existing fan or one can be provided with the machine as an option.

Champion's Genesis Family of door machines tackle the most delicate of wares to the grimiest of pans while being completely user friendly. The machines features Champion's patent pending Tri-Rinse System that puts more water on the dishes where it belongs, keeping the energy and water consumption at low levels.

Offering two 'Cycle Select' cleaning options of 57 racks per hour (normal operation) or 38 racks per hour (extended clean), this machine uses only .85 gallons per rack, with a rack capacity of 9 gallons. The unique hood design allows steam to escape out the rear of the unit away from the operator. The one-piece hood is computer balanced so it can be lifted by the lightest of touches.

The new door machines features a user-friendly auto start that engages the cycle when the doors are closed. The unit will automatically fill when the power is turned on and automatically drain when the power is turned off.

Available in a multitude of configurations ranging in voltage from 208-480, a built-in booster, sized specifically for this unit, is configured for both a 40 and 70-degree rinse. The unit comes standard 3 phase, and it is easily field convertible to single phase. Gas heated (hot water coil) tank and booster heat is also available.

Other standard features of the new door machines include 'Rinse Sentry,' ensuring the rinse temperature is always correct, as well as single point connection and signal connections for chemicals, vent fan and running signal. The digital controls are bottom mounted.
